About the Event

Raksha Bandhan, popularly known as Rakhi, is one of India’s most cherished festivals celebrating the bond between brothers and sisters. On this day, sisters tie a sacred thread called Rakhi on their brothers’ wrists and pray for their happiness, prosperity, and long life. In return, brothers promise to protect and support their sisters throughout life.

The festival is observed on the full moon day (Purnima) of the Hindu month of Shravan and symbolizes love, trust, care, and family unity. In Karimnagar, families gather for special prayers, exchange gifts and sweets, and celebrate the occasion with great enthusiasm.
